Explore the rich history of Ceremonial Goldwork Embroidery with our beautiful new weekend course 'Oak Leaf and Acorn'. Ceremonial Goldwork embroidery is steeped with centuries of embroidery history used at events including Royal Coronations, weddings and events of British Pageantry. Traditionally using 2% metal threads, Ceremonial embroidery is designed to dazzle under sunlight and optimise the beautiful nature of the threads used in its creation. Within this course, you will be guided by our expert embroidery tutors from start to finish. You will be taught the traditional methods of transferring your design onto fabric all the way through to the final couture finishing techniques for your piece. This course is new to Hand & Lock and promises to be a truly unforgettable experience. Space is limited so please reserve your spot to avoid disappointment.

You will be guided through the process of Ceremonial Goldwork embroidery from beginning to end with our beautiful new 2 day course. You will explore bullion line work creating the central stem of your oakleaf design. You will then learn how to stitch over padding with satin stitch with Gold passing thread.

All of the materials you need for this class will be provided for you as part of your course experience. You are more than welcome to bring your own embroidery equipment if you would rather use your own materials but everything will be provided for you.
